Hey Stainless,What did you do with the extra bolts found in the box?Ithink the old Man has a couple of ideas where to put them.

Steve Doherty, who handles my website for me just sent me an e-mail reporting these names by PayPal have been added to the 2009 contributors.  Most came from the landracing website.

Fred Miller, Mal Hewett and friends, Mike's Hot Rod Repair, Joe Amo, Ray Buck, Jim Auguston.

(Haven't heard from Denis, Mike, or Sam yet.) grin

cool

Lenny and John showed up a couple of days ago.  It feels re-e-e-lly good to have a work force, finally.  Now I get to be the Crew Chief.  Do this.  Do that.   grin

We started it for the first time yesterday to check for leaks.  No leaks, now on to hooking up the water brake for dyno testing.  Should finish the job late this evening or sometime tomorrow.  Stainless called yesterday from Seattle; said he'd be back in Wichita in a couple of days, so we'll probably get some pretty good pics and video of the Vincent on the dyno for you guys then.

                       See ya at the Bub,
                               Max

Max, I talked to Stainless tonight, he is home. Tomorrow he has to pick up his little dog and then he is coming to see you.

OK calm down out there.... been trying to keep Max from grabbing the can until he gets some good numbers in the books.... then y'all can smell some morning nitro.

As Max said, the reinforcements are here and making things happen... of course as we all know no good deed goes unpunished.  Lenny McKnight drove down here from the Seattle area in his new truck... it hailed a little last night, chunks about the size of baseballs.

The cokes were in the box, in the back of the truck.

Patti lost the windshield in her car as did Max in his truck... I guess the windshields in new trucks still have a little bounce in them.

I pulled the SSLD over to Max's and we rolled the scooter outside and started gathering up and installing the dyno equipment.

Did I mention the water barrels for the dyno we outside last night... yep the hail got both of them too.

John MacDougall, from Vancouver, B.C. Canada is also down helping Max with the scooter, he's installing the bracket for mounting the water-brake.

John got the water-brake mounted to the tranny output shaft

Then he and Lenny went to work building the control station, the tach, throttle and temperature gauges are mounted.

John (left) and Lenny  worked the water control and hooked up all the hoses.   All the extra wires draped on the bike are for the thermocouples and tach.  The gauges will monitor head temperatures at the spark plugs...
If you are looking for Max, he was busy doing crew chief duty.... telling everyone what to do.... from his chair in the garage..... its cooler there ya know... I was keeping my eye on the M&M supply... I think Max has the guys living on M&Ms and Budweiser.... I plan to be there for the breakfast of champions in the morning....

OK, Max fired up the scooter today, we didn't get to load the motor yet Max was sorting out the initial tune.  We had a few issues, a dead cylinder that came back to life with a little troubleshooting.  The starter is a small issue at times, wore Lenny out today.
You will notice we are all wearing our girly ear muffs and the scooter is outside.  The air was still a little heavy, but contained enough oxygen to sustain human life.
here are a couple to watch

While John and Lenny figured out the little miss in the back cylinder of the front motor, I took the opportunity to snap a couple of pictures of the new rider Max was interviewing.....
I think he might have an issue seeing over the bars...

Well, things took a turn for the worse yesterday.  Max and John decided to check the valves cold before starting....
found one pushrod a little broken and another slightly bent...  undecided

Started troubleshooting and found the rear head needed to come off to look at what was happening...

that meant the motors need to come out, so back in the shop and we spent the afternoon getting the motors disconnected from the bike..... I had to leave at 330, but the motors were almost ready to pull.
