The Burklands set the B/BFCC record in 1985 @ 294.868. Don't recall fastest speed.

Either with a Nikon Coolscan film scanner ($400 to $1000) or a 1:1 lens on a digital camera with a copy stand.

Or take them to Costco Photo department and they cost about 50 cents each and they put them on a CD for you.

To sorta hijack (okay, a little detour) the thread:

Freud, there are lots of less-expensive scanners out there for slides.  Have you got suggestions about one that won't cost as much as the Nikon?  There's no CostCo within hundreds of miles of me so I'd like to get my own scanner.  But not at Nikon prices. . .

We now return you to Old Bonneville Pictures.

HP makes some scanners wit adaptyers to back light the slides. Go to the HP web site and check.

wit = with and you can remove the y from adapters.
Here is a 2 1/4 sq. slide of our old graham that I scanned on a low end HP scanner.

I have had good luck with an Epson V100 Scanner.  It was only about $90 but can copy four 35mm slides at a time and then put the in Jpeg format.  Takes a little time to do large quantities of pictures but the photo quality is great.

Jim, side note the modify button allows you to clean up your mistypes.

I will be scanning more when the weather gets bad again, thanks all for filling in, and keep up the good work.

Freud, great pics, but it appears you are way behind on the requirement I levied on you... at your current rate it will take you 580 years to to fulfill your 1 picture a day for the next 100 years  :-D See you at the reunion.

I can't argue that there are cheaper scanners than a Nikon.

Buy whatever satisfies your standards.

Some where I think I have a picture of the Texas Cigar shell in the rafters of the Mangum airport taken about '77 or '78.
