Thanks guys... I think I will start with the 28's and see how that goes. I will set up the rear end and all my clearances for 26, 28 and 30 inch tires..

I'm confused.

What's the class of the E/Gasoline 212 record you're referring to?

Robby Cohn has the E/CGAlt record in a slippery, well-proven Monza at 203 -- a great feat.

And you're gonna gear for 230 in a Stude (not Stud)?

Help me out here.

Stan,

I too thought the E/CGALT record was 203.xx but someone told me it was upped at SW 08 to 212.xx

I am working on the trans, tire and rear gear for the 53 Stude, and yes will gear for 219 based on my initial combo data. (now I know that is paper calculations) and way more variables will come into play. Hope to have some testing at Maxton for May and June Being ready by April seems like a stretch right now. but who knows.

Charles - Yes, the current E/CGALT record is 212.886 set at Speedweek this year (also set the E/CFALT record at 219.909) by the Loose Screw guys out of Houston. The car is the former Guam Bomb (Terry Hunt) Stude, I believe.   vic
