Ray the Rat called on the radio to ask that I let you know he's not able to get on line out here just now, so his photos won't be available for a while. He apologizes.
Rocky is in the bike, wind is about zero everywhere down the course, the course is locked down, everything is ready.

Amo, Sorry Jon you are right. I should have looked at the previous page....thought I had. I was just excited about Ack's run.
I will shut up and lurk so I don't clutter up the board! Have a good day. Dick Lague
Dick, ooo man you aren't the only one excited... We are all peeled to this darn puter screen just waiting for the info... Post away Laque, we all like to have fun... Hey why were you not at Bub's filming, or at this meet for that matter... Your video is awesome and I sure enjoyed all that you filmed... Now we need the uncut version with the bazillion hours of video you have, totally uncut that would be great... How many DVD's would that take up? JonAmo

Vehcile is slowing -- about one mile out.
DANG! It sure was cool to watch him leave, but we could hear the motor popping a bit as he got into it. Sure looks pretty in the sun, though.

Drive train problem. Bike will return to pits, other vehicles that want to go to the mountain end to run are released from pits to parade down to that start line.
Nancy's peeling a banana (yellow one, thank you very much, you perverts!), and we'll go back to waiting.

Jon, thanks for the compliment on the show we still have some copies left go to www.isde.tv ....as you know that was a team effort and it took lots of years too. We started shooting in April 2004. We have hours of footage of Sam in the Ack Attack on Lake Gairdner in March 2006 for example. We are considering some bike LSR DVD projects right now. I was at Bub this year for a couple of days helping Sam and Mike with on-board cameras, but the crew was in Greece shooting the International Six Days Enduro that whole week. We were trying to be at this private meet this week, but even with discussions down to the wire, things did not work out. Dick

Fun parade to watch -- Burkland car, followed by Mormon Missile, followed by Sam Wheeler's bike. I wish you allcould be here to watch. We're doing our best to let you enjoy it with us.

Hopefully someone (Ray?) can get some sound bites? We know everyone gets WAY busy when the motor is running - and we sure appreciate this. Drive train problem. Bike will return to pits, other vehicles that want to go to the mountain end to run are released from pits to parade down to that start line.

Anyway, runs should resume soon. Akatiff's bike is staged, Rocky is suited up, the crew is filling the intercooler with dry ice. 5-8 minutes is the forecast.
SSS, If its possible could you get a pic of the intercooler that uses dry ice. Thanks, Bill

Order of the next runs:
Burkland, followed by Lynn Goddfellow driving the Mormon Missile, both cars starting at the 10 1/2, with Sam Wheeler starting last, at the 12 mile.
The vehicles are on the way there now -- stopped in mid-track to flip coins to see who'd go when (or maybe they used some other style of deciding).
Pictures of stuff being loaded now, Todd.

Here's alittle of what's going on in the pits: Think your pit is all set up? Burkland has marks on the salt (biodegradable marks, I'm reassured to hear) so they know where each trailer tire, each saw horse, each prop, is to be set so things proceed smoothly during the one-hour turnaround. Here are a few shots from yesterday in the Speed Demon pit as they were setting up the new N/A motor that's now in the car. Parts, by the way, are to be arriving from all over the US at SLC airport today, then come out here to be installed tonight and tomorrow for more runs. The Burkland car has this ATV as a chaser -- he's stationed about a mile and a half from this end of the course, and when Tom zooms by - this ATV chases him just in case. Has a few tools, a tow strap, a radio, a push bar. In case Tom has to take the emergency exit this vehicle can follow to be there quickly. And finally, Todd, here's Nancy, hard at rest, reading and waiting. . .
