Okay, maybe it's been a long time since you folks were newlyweds.  That'll be the story I stick with this morning.

Okay -- here we are at the pit area, and the first run of the day has yet to happen.  It'll be the Ack Attack bike, but no word on just how soon.  Course workers are in place -- but we aren't "lacked down" yet, so it'll be a little while.

Do some work in advance so your boss thinks that you've put in a full day today.

Okay, for all y'all who need something to try and get your head around this early in the morning try this on for some mental gymnastics.  Besides it may look like actual work if you need to "hide".   rolleyes

http://www.fia.com/sport/Regulations/Records/index.html

This is an explanation of what these guys/gals are doing out upon the Great White Dyno.  It just doesn't match up very well with SCTA/BNI/ECTA/DLRA.

Oh well  cry

Ack Attack bike canopy is down.  we're locked down -- first run of the morning is soon to commence.

Bike is being pushed off.

Run is under way.  Rocky is being complimented by Mike Cook:  "He gets that bike up and on the center wheels in a hurry!"

Bike is coming in towards us.  Cooool! One official reports a timing sensor is down -- may have been knocked over by his wake, might have "tagged" it.

entry    333   kilo   337.655  mile   338.503   exit   346

He just putt-putted past us into the pits.

I'll let you know what's next.

Cris Shearer reports he's in the pit, his crew is with him, everything looks okay.

Hey -- As long as I've got your attention, Richard and Judy White -- the couple that's helping Carl put the Lovelock event together -- will be attending the Nellis AFB S hootout this weekend and will post some results on the event.  Nancy and I will be on the road heading home -- so Richard will give you something to keep your appetites sated.

This is how I've spent my morning.

Tuned into the thead to see what's happening.  Never mind it's 5:00 am CST.

Read everything you'all said last night.

Made FIRST pot a' coffee.

Still dark outside.  Went out to garage.  Opened garage door.  Opened salt trailer door.  Went back in to garage.  Sat down.  Stared at streamliner in trailer.  Drank coffee. Stared some more.

Back in house 5:35 am.  Checked if Jon's posted yet on the runs.  No.

Back to garage.  More coffee.  More staring.

Back to house.  Checked again.  No runs yet.  6:30 am.

Beginning to get grumpy.  "What's Jon doing?  Why doesn't someone make a run? Dark?"

10:00 am. CST.  Second pot 'a coffee.  Tired of staring at the streamliner.

Came back in and here I am posting.  Haven't even brushed my teeth yet.

Wish I could be there with you fast guys.

Best to all and be safe.
