Hi All,
And what an up and down ride it was.
I am thankful for being asked to work this great event again this year,
and look forward to seeing everyone again next September; if not sooner.

Thank You Drew!

We really appreciated all the work from you, the rest of the impound group, the course marshalls, and everyone else in a red t'shirt!

Super group of racers and spectators also!

All in all a great experience for us!

Thanks

Don't scare me about being the lone inspector, even if for only a while.  It looks like I'm ging to be the only bike inspector at WoS this Tuesday -- at least until mid-afternoon, when Tom Evans is due to arrive.

On 9-27-08 we lost a great friend and fellow racer, he was the BEST, he helped anyone with anything at anytime.  His name is Dave Owen and he will be missed by all that knew him and I am glad to have met him.

Seeing him at Bonneville during 2008 Speedweek was the tops, Dave was in awe of the salt and as usual was there helping out anyone who asked..simply put we lost a great man who will be missed by all.

GREAT!  John, you're nominated!  Thanks.  It gets kinda lonely - especially when a few dozen bike riders are standing around waiting for inspector number 2 to sign off on their sheets.

See you all in a few more days.

Drew, good seeing you on the salt again.  My compliments to the entire impound crew for a great job.  As usual there were some early problems, but by the second day most of the wrinkles were smoothed.   If you need anyone to chase folks away from your back I still have that ability  wink  Continue having fun, that is what it is all about.  You bringing your Duc to the salt next year?

Thanks Drew !  And yes we loved the Salt Flats Fever song. I would never have guessed that you are such a poet also.
Already planning, and looking forward to next year.
 cheers

Thanks Drew for contacting me so quickly on the BUB entry. Jana and I were the ones who drove down from the drag racing event in Boise, ID. Also, I want to say thanks to the other scrutineers. Everyone had a great attitude. We had a lot of fun at the BUB. I got to make 2 passes and Jana enjoyed not having to trailer me to and from the starting line. Hopefully we'll see ya next year.

Drew, another thank you for all you and the crew did during the week and even prior answering questions over the phone. Any chance the Salt Fever song is recorded somewhere for downloading. Needs something in the garage this winter when the nights get long.
