Hi i'm new to this site and live on the Isle of Man ( T.T. motorcycle races ),i have been trying to find out any results especially regarding my friend John Renwick who was running a turbo'ed vincent streamliner sidecar #202 this last week in the B.U.B. trials.I haven't been able to contact him regarding whats going on over there so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Unfortunately due to work commitments i was unable to get out there this year but hopefully next year!!

The partial run log from the "Bub is underway" post shows the following entries for #202

09/02/08   Intl   Down   37   202   John Renwick   1650 SCS AF   0      17:05:53   90.766 mph   24.6450329   88.999 mph

09/04/08   Mntn   Down   128   202   John Renwick   1650 AF SCS   0      15:10:09   152.209 mph   14.6964133   151.773 mph

09/04/08   Mntn   Return   153   202   John Renwick   1650 AF SCS   0      16:29:26   160.813 mph   13.9101089   156.876 mph

Note the down run at 151 and the return at 156.

These are partial results and seem to cut off late Thursday and obviously are not "official".

Cliff,

From what I recall at the awards banquet John Renwick was the winner for the cash (sponsored by Bob Bakker cheers) for the fastest sidecar streamliner with a measured mile top speed of 156+..

He did very well with his new rig. cheers

On 9-27-08 we lost a great friend and fellow racer, he was the BEST, he helped anyone with anything at anytime.  His name is Dave Owen and he will be missed by all that knew him and I am glad to have met him.

Seeing him at Bonneville during 2008 Speedweek was the tops, Dave was in awe of the salt and as usual was there helping out anyone who asked..simply put we lost a great man who will be missed by all.

FYI, it was not running with a turbo, it was normally aspirated running on fuel (methanol?).

Hey John,

I think there must have been a bit of a paperwork mess up.  Don Angel, riding my side car streamliner, has a timing slip of 166+.

Max,

Sorry for the confusion, I was certain that John won the money however or at least he was awarded it..?

Pull some gear out of your mean machine and get those monsters roaring to life.. cheers
