I drive my old car all over the country. I buy Shell Rotella oil because I can buy it all over the country. 15W40 in summer, and 10W30 in winter. Nine bucks a gallon.
It is on the list above.

Don,

Beware of the Rotella oil with the yellow banner on the label, it is the reformulated for emmissions oil.

I use it in my '50 Ford 8n tractor.

My understanding is that "all" Rottella oil has recently been reformulated.

yes, all motor oils intended for US highway use have been refomulated.

I was exposed to Rotella back in the 70's, used it for everything including two / premix if nothing else available.

If I am not mistaken, the chart/listing of motor oils eariler in this post was pre'07 emissions product.

It would be interesting to see the difference now that the reduced levels.

When i bought a new cam from Comp Cams, they would not honor the warratny unless it was broken in with Rottella 15w 40. Unlike a specific break in oil, it has lasted for 4500 miles in a couple of my work trucks. Amsoil is always a good option, and their web site can point you to the right product for your application.
