Mounting Tires

I know this was discussed a few months ago but I couldn't find it. Someone commented that goodyear lsr tires were directional ?, could somebody elaborate on this again?

The short answer is, it is the way the tires are laminated. They want the rears to be compressing the layers on acceleration and the fronts on braking because of weight transfer. Now, LSR cars can't get much traction or weight transfer on the rears and most don't use or have front brakes. I set mine up to like they are all rears and don't worry about it for LSR. Now maybe Maxton or Texas I might think about it but I have never in 40 plus years had a seen a tire problem that was caused by the wrong direction installion that I can remember.
