heh    grin

We share opinions, I'll leave it at that.

So I think the lesson here is, CHECK with the makers of your particular EFI system to see how they handle barometric corrections.  If it's a closed system, strictly using the Ideal Gas Law for corrections, then you should put the temp sensor downstream of any compressors, coolers, etc.

Don't get me started on how the Ideal Gas Law idea does NOT work with open loop realtime baro corrections.   We spent weeks figuring that out.   As it turns out (dave certainly knows this), Volumetric Efficiency changes with increases or decreases in exhaust backpressure.   GM has a white paper on this.

Actually I'm pretty unhappy with what can be done with the stock Keihin ECU. I'm looking to install a MOTEC M400 later this year. Full wide-band fuel control would be a quantum leap.

Let me know when are ready as I can usually offer LSR racers a break and go to both Spedweek and BUBS...

Dave

As a FNG here, I didn't realize you sold MOTEC products. I've been in touch with MOTEC in NC about the wiring harness. Can you supply this as well? Do you have a business website? If not, how should I contact you?

Thanks

How old would you be now if you didn't know how old you are?
If you can't race it or take it to bed - it ain't worth having.

he is the best I know..........though he primarily
works on the very high end outfits that run things
like 24 hr Lemans/Daytona etc........he has a real
soft spot and passion for LSR folks and their endeavors.....

he understands the ENTIRE engine management realm.........not
just electronics.........when your old job was an engineer developing
cylinder heads for Nascar ya know and understand abit about engine
management..........

Dave

You've received more recommendations than just the ones above... including mention of your excellent harnesses. I'll be contacting you later this year about putting together a MOTEC ECU for my bike.

Thanks!

The problem is:  The Earth rotates---the Shadow moves:

ONE must move the source of the shodow--OR--the beer drinkers solution---MOVE THE BEER COOLER after each beer throughout the day to keep it in the SHADE!!!!!!!!!

Sparky,

That is a good modification of my basic philosophy. Many minds = many solutions.
