So I made reservations in West Wendover from Sept 1 thru the 7th - at the Montego Bay Casino and have lots of family getting ready to do the same. I am assuming based upon what I saw on the Bub website that 2007 schedule would be September 2nd thru 6th. But I have not seen any additional information regarding the event such as advertisement, registration details, etc.. Therefore I am beginning to get concerned if the event is scheduled for 2007 - does anyone know if the event is on, when entry/registration can be done, etc.
Thanks,
Kevin

Event is on,,,

The registration and stuff is still a ways away... It will come soon enough... Dont worry without a doubt the event is  happening. We are 8 months away.

Jon,
Thanks for th confirmation - now I just got to figure out what class I am running.... huh need a translator from 1650 - MPS/G and /F to FIM/AMA.... I am assuming that AMA considers VP MR9 as fuel.

I know that there's no difference between fuel and gas for FIM -- don't know AMA's take on the subject.  FIM has blown and unblown categories, that's it.

Do you think there is any issue with VP - C44

C44, 100% nitro, Raid bug repellent:

FIM:  No issues.

AMA:  No clue what they will or won't allow.

Hey people......this is only the end of Jan. 2007......I don't expect BUB entrees to open until around May.
Yes, the event is on.............................
don't expect to see any media coverage until May 2007.
Also in past years, in order to run for AMA records, use the GAS (petrol) supplied from the GAS truck on the Salt....(just like SCTA/BNI)

No they bring ERC racing fuels.

http://www.ercracingfuels.com/

Rick brings a very large variety. So I would find one that is close to what you are running. NOW this is only if you run in a gas class for AMA. If you are running a fuel class or FIM bring what you want and run it...

If you have a question call Rick, he is always willing to help... And if you need something specially blended he will do that to.... A great person to read plugs also... And he brings a very large variety of plugs also, in champion line... Support ERC as the fuel distributor...

Hi Guys
Greetings from New Zealand! I am organising a trip to the BUB event this year for some of the Flying Kiwi team to help the new owner of our sidecar to break our FIM record, there will be at least 10 of us and possibly more, and a TV3 film crew who are planning another documentary around our bike and Craig the new owner, i would just like confirmation of the exact dates please and any advice you could offer about accomodation in Wendover (Golden Nugget?) and renting vehicles in Salt Lake City for the duration of our trip, We are all very excited about making it finally to the salt and for me personally it will be the culmination of 5 years work to see our machine explore its true potential.. also Bob Bakker has kindly offered me a ride on his fire breathing Kawasaki so i will actually get to ride on the hallowed ground! good on ya Bob!
Any advice you guys can offer would be gratefully received

thanks

Phil - I have been watching your efforts for a number of years and look forward to meeting you - I have spent time down under in both Australia and New Zealand - beautiful place. If I have it right it is September 2nd through 6th - I have made reservations at the Montego Bay -  best I can see that is the best in West Wendover. I know that some of your efforts reflect the accomplishments of Bobby Burns in 55 and lather at Bonneville in 56. I am actally trying to match Russel Wrights achievements - I actually matched is Tram road record last September - running 185.18 on his 185.15 on July 2nd,1955. Anyway - I am a long term fan of a number of flying kiwis including Burns, Wright, Monroe and Britton...... I look forward to meeting you and your team - Kevin

Phil - BTW - I am going by the dates posted on the web site and confirmation on the thread - so you may want to double check with the orgainzer before you buy the non-refundable tickets..... Kevin
