Hi Bob,

thanks for taking care and getting the picture from the 2016 season on the web.

for the one who views the picture....the Shootout picture are backwards....the first in line is actually the last...so, if you like....start from the end and scroll forward....

enjoy the pictures....and they are not all from the salt...a small tribute to our real Hot Rodder with the North American Eagle are added, too.

Hey, kiddos -- the pictures that Pork Pie gave to me to (have Bob) put into the gallery are up.  Find a link from the home page, if nothing else.

Thanks, Thomas.  And - if you see something you'd like to put in your collection, please ask PP for a copy that you can buy.  You'll both appreciate the results.

Jon,

thanks for your comment on the new picture, set up in the photo gallery....

I had written a note under LSR topics, because, this time are also pictures from the Alvord Desert included, not just Bonneville.

And thanks again.

I'm very surprised how the advertisement from Bob on the Main Page works so well.

By the way...the best picture you folks are missing...they are in the Alvord Desert chapter....

...And Neil, how you know that with Compton..... cheers cheers cheers cheers cheers cheers

Pork Pie;

Being from Germany, you might not be familiar with the reputation of Compton, California. It has a bad reputation- riddled with crime. The photo #27 looked like a car parked on the street in Compton with all 4 tires stolen.  grin

Neil,

I'm familiar with different places in California.....a part of Long Beach got the same reputation...that's explain why police drives always with three cars as a group in this area...

so I asked you, how you know so far away from CA (from Compton*).....

*a friend of mine had a couple years ago a "nice" experience in Compton...not only the wheels....his 357 avoid that he became a walker......

The reputation of Compton is widely known, Thomas. Someone actually made a movie about the place.

Compton also has a very high tech coating concern that we've used over the years.  I'm not sure what they rely on, but there're huge exploded views of jet (or rocket, I don't know) engines that they do work for.  All their header work is done out the back door and, as I remember, the proceeds go into their "coffee fund".

Almost every town has its good and bad places, and if you pay attention, you don't need road signs to declare them for you.

Well - Jon (Wennerberg) - what you think? they don't like them.

I got one note from a racer - he had not to write - because I promised him the picture from Speedweek 2017 at the salt (if you became a 200 Club Member...) but he was so stressed in the impound....so he had forgotten my offer....well...I can understand that.....

And to the other cheers cheers cheers cheers cheers cheers cheers cheers cheers cheers
