Tom Senter's "Tirebird" Trans Am on the auction block
« on: August 20, 2017, 10:18:47 PM »
Anyone who read a Petersen Publishing rag or Popular Hot Rodding in the 1970's knew and admired the late Tom Senter and his unflappable ability to turn a phrase or a wrench on the salt. He was responsible for a variety of fab project cars at the magazine including what became known as "Tyrebird" - a killer 461 powered '71 Firebird Trans Am. i knew when it was Ferarri Fly yellow. . . Tom, was my mentor and crazy Acura pal until the big C took him too Dodge soon to suit anyone who knew him.

Its up for auction by the current owner who has done right by Tom and the snarl in the video's make me wish Tom was still here to run the thing on the salt, but then he'd want the roadster on the line and that's a whole 'nuther story..
