I'm wary of using hole saws but'll give 'em another chance. Last autumn I cut a 4" hole through the garage wall so I could route the exhaust from the generator to outdoors, but the danged saw cut the hole about an inch too low - now I've gotta shim the generator to adjust the height.  Buncha extra work - shoulda just used the Husqvarna and a crowbar. cry

An inch too low? And you figure that "shimming" the generator will help? ..... Seems to be a pattern here of operator error... tongue

Geez, youse guys are a rough audience.  Okay - I know that shimming the garage wall would be difficult although it'd probably work to get that hole up to the right altitude.  But if "shimming" means to add a little bit (in this case, of height) -- what's the right word for the unshimming that I really need to do?

And anyway, it doesn't matter 'cause you figured out what I meant, right?

We have built several Buick straight 8 Cylinder heads using a drill press and hole saws. Requires a bit of patience. That's the go to precision tool in our shop.

Received my second order promptly. A couple of large size holesaws and a couple of Journeyman's Kits for sons' birthday presents- maybe won't need to loan them holesaws so  often. smiley

Great deal. Thanks!

I've got Don Jackson on the job, he's coming out here in October with his far better half, problem is buying them..... If I can PayPal Steve that would help...I'm just a little wary of paying by CC on unsecured sites.

Got'em    cheers

Tried several times to place an order but the ship to address is in Canada. Because the shipping cost can't be auto calculated, my order gets stalled and can't be completed. Any suggestion on how to get past this barrier? Thanks.

Sorry about the "International Incident".  Best solution is probably to call direct (636)224-0004 and ask for "John L".  He handles all the web orders, but can also take and fill phone orders.
