Background - the company I work for is a significant producer of saw blades and related processing equipment.  We make tens of millions of feet of saw stock every year.

The time has come for us to get out of the hole saw manufacturing and sales business.  As a result, we have approximately 17,000 hole saws, ranging in size from 5/8" to 6" diameter, which we are selling for $2 each - any size, any quantity.  We are completely getting out of this business.

These are genuine Made in the USA hole saws, by genuine Americans right here in Pevely, Missouri.  Bi-Metal hole saws and Carbide tipped hole saws.  They were made for some pretty big names (Matco, Simonds, Metabo, etc) in the cutting tool industry.   Some have "private label" branding, others are unbranded.

There are hole saw "Kits" for plumbers, electricians, maintenance, and "Journeyman" kits available at slightly higher prices.

Here's a direct link to our direct-to-consumer website featuring the hole saws:

http://www.sawbladeexpress.com/ProductListing.aspx?CatId=c99cfe4d-df45-40b8-a8cc-49e370177476

The prices listed on the page are $2.35 each, with a 15% discount code on the home page for www.sawbladeexpress.com

There are a lot of uses for hole saws when it comes to LSR activities and fabrication.

It may take a few days to get large orders processed and shipped, as each order has to be gathered by hand from our warehouse.

Thank you for taking a look,

Steve.

For those of you who might be navigating in through the main page, all the hole saws are listed in the "Fine Woodworking" category. (Please don't ask me why).

Thanks.  I believe it's free shipping on all orders over $50, as well.  (Disclaimer - I'm not in charge of web sales, just trying to jump-start some of the inventory clearout).

Thanks Steve.

The way they are listed "Woodworking" and the description "including soft metal" makes me wonder if they are rated for mild steel?

I suspect they will work fine, but wanted to make sure.

They are great for mild steel.  Perfect, in fact for most of the things we would use them for on a race car (tube notching, cutting holes for plumbing, exhaust, etc).

The "Bi Metal" hole saws have a tool steel tip and alloy steel backer.

I just talked to the guy who runs our direct-to-consumer website.

The response to this offer has been fantastic!!!   cheers

Some folks have placed VERY large orders for hole saws, which is very good news.

We only have one person who runs the website and fills the orders (He goes by John L. if you decide to call in).  It will take some time to get these orders all sorted out, so I ask anyone who placed an order to please be patient.

John will contact you via email regarding your orders as they are filled.

Thanks again,

Steve.

I wonder if the response has been so fantastic that your boss will decide what a great thing it'd be to donate a batch or kit or selection of these saws to the Salt Talks raffle/auction. . .?

Great idea, Slim!

I don't need my boss' permission for that.  I'm on it!

I'll go over and grab some complete kits for donation.

Where shall I send them?
