Nancy -- 201.913 mph record on a production ZX15!

WWW
« on: August 24, 2016, 11:19:23 AM »

Joe Timney/Delaware Chassis Works donated this Kestrel 5100 to landracing.com for Salt Talks.  He expected me to auction it off and use the proceeds for the website.  But I thought that it was of such value that I'd rather wait 'til we got home from the salt - and then turn it into $$ for lr.com.

Here's what an online ad for it says:

Improved display, processor and data logging. Same dependable measurements, including air density and moisture content.
Optional wireless LiNK communication with the free Kestrel LiNK app and compatible PC, Mac, iOS and Android devices.
Patented accuracy - NIST-traceable calibration.
Rugged, waterproof and reliable in the most demanding conditions. IP67 & MIL spec rated.
5-year limited warranty and made in the USA.

Retail ranges from the upper $300s to Joe's suggested $296, and I 'spose you can find one cheaper if you give up the options.  But that's beside the point.

Joe supports land speed racing - by being in the business.  I appreciate his input here and hope you do, too.  Here's how to thank him -- offer up a good price for the Kestrel.  You'll get a cool addition to your pit -- and you'll help keep the site going.

Please start with an offer no lower than $ - well, no less than reasonable.  Thanks.

A NEW Kestrel 5100 w/Link recently sold on eBay for $306.04 with free shipping: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kestrel-5100-Racing-Weather-Meter-w-Link-Connectivity-Red-0851LRED-/331892702489?hash=item4d4658bd19:g:S08AAOSw3KFWbzb1

But I bet it didn't come with any extras.   afro

Thanks.  I didn't check this earlier today.  Here's the story -- between what I see here and the PMs I've got -- we've got two fellas tied at $200.  That's a heck of a bargain for the device, no doubt.  But gee -- how 'bout a bit more?  Like you're going to get a real deal and you also want to send a hunk of $$ to support landracing dot com, and for that matter to acknowledge how much Joe Timney helps out all the racers that he can.

Care to sweeten the pot, gentlemen - or ladies?  Thanks.

Stay'Tee, I'm tempted to ask if you've offered that much $$/Aud funny money -- but I think I'll let one and all figger out what's going on with youse guys down there.  In the meantime, I'm intrigued by ORB's convoluted math and might just let him be the winner so I can see how his mind works.

Wait -- why would I want that?  I can just look at my own EEG and know what's going on in his noggin. evil

Anyone else?

Hey guys, I just threw that out as a suggestion and can get by fine with My 4000, so If anyone wants mine for the $200 (with half going to Slim) then I will work with You and pay the freight.
If You are not interested in My 4000 than just match My bid on the 5100 and as far as I am concerned its Yours.
Now if that doesn't confuse the Potentate of Porta-Potties, well... well... wait a minute, did I just buy it twice or sell both?
Back to the meds... ORB tongue tongue tongue shocked shocked shocked afro
