Where to buy safety gear?
« on: March 06, 2022, 04:06:39 PM »
I'm looking for a place to shop for and purchase the safety gear required by SCTA.  Do you have alternatives to online stores that you would recommend that're closer to me in Oregon than the Speedway Motors store in Phoenix?  Or is online realistically my best option?

Go online to DJ Safety. Their stuff is excellent.

Don't buy anything until you need it... some of the stuff expires...
OK, if you are building you might need a firesuit... try to not outgrow it... Helmets are on a 10 year cycle... Snell SA2010 expired in January, 2015 will probably expire Jan 2027 but I think the extra year was due to Covid and supply, so they could move back to regular schedule.  If you need a fit up helmet I have a couple than have used up their 1 crash.
When ready to buy belts, parachute, arm restraints, I agree DJ is the spot...
