Gaahck -- I must be getting kinda old.  I really, really DO remember Playboy before the ladies were nude.  Dad would get the magazine - in the mid-50s - and the women were not completely naked then.  Yes, it didn't take long for Mr. Hefner to discover that acres of uncovered flesh sold more magazines, but don't we all remember Janet Pilgrim - the first centerfold lady, I think she was - wearing clothes in the spread?  She, it turned out, was a secretary for Hefner as he was getting the magazine going.  From her came the beginnings.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled topic.

Who is planning to attend the PRI show in Indy - December 10-12, 2015?

It's on my schedule to attend (registration is free, but you have to submit your "credentials" to be approved).

I can't wait to see all the offerings from vendors.

Steve.

Have any of you received your official credentials yet?  I got my "Registration" email, along with a promise that the credentials would be sent before the event.  Just curious if anyone else has received their "badges" yet.

I think I remember that we are "granted" the credentials and then pick 'em up at the registration window when we arrive.

I took a quick look back and - - on 24 August '15 I received emails from PRI telling me that they'd been granted "...and will be shipped USPS to you prior to the 2015 PRI Trade Show."

Speaking of 'em, though -- thanks for the elbow-joggle.  I need to confirm that I've got the creds set up for our new employee that'll be attending the show with us.

Speaking of the show -- I know we've got some evening plans for Fri and Sat -- so if you want Nancy and me to hang out with youse guys-- during the day is finest.

And in case you haven't seen the Nov PRI magazine -- it does mention the LSR panel/board/symposium/thing.  It'll be Saturday morning at 8.  What a heinous time for a gathering of people.  I don't want to miss it -- but jeez, 8 frickin' AM?

We'll drive in Wednesday - getting there pretty late since it's a 12 or so hour ride (we'll wave as we go past, Chris).  Nothin's going to be going on with us that night, for sure.

See you in Indianapolis.

PRI says that my badge has been mailed. grin  I feel so official.

I have a room booked in Terre Haute, IN for the night of Thursday, December 10th.  I'm planning to be at the show bright and early Friday morning - spend the whole day at the show, then drive back to STL on Friday night.

For anyone who might be interested, PM me for my cell#, maybe we can meet up at the show on Friday.

Steve, the trick is to plan. There isn't time to see the whole show in a day. Get the list of exhibitors and the floor plan, then figure out who you want to see and where they are. If you can free either the Thursday or the Saturday do it. The Thursday would be better because you get a lot more people there on the Saturday. Enjoy the show. It's really worth it.

Thanks, Peter.

I spent some time yesterday at the PRI site, used their questionaires to develop a list of vendors I'd like to visit.

They also have an "App" for iphone, etc. which should help as a roadmap of the show, the location of the booths I want to visit, etc.

Stevve, is there any way we can get you to reconsider your sked?  There's the L S R panel discussion/forum Saturday morning at 8.  I know -- heinous time of day, but that's what it is.  And I'm confident that the more racers that we have in attendance - the better we'll be for having gained more information.

if you can't re-arrange -- okay, we'll drink your complimentary coffee and eat your stale sweet rolls for you. huh

The issue that prevents me from spending time in Indianapolis on Saturday is a Christmas party that I MUST attend on Saturday evening.  I consider myself fortunate that I'm married to a wonderful woman who lets me do almost anything I want without protesting too much.

I've only been married for 21 years, but in that time, have learned when to pick my battles, and when to go along without a peep of protest.

For those of you who are happily married, you know what I mean.....

Steve.

PS - enjoy my coffee and morning snacks.

...a quick update....

My badge and lanyard were in my mailbox this morning.  You know it's official when you get a lanyard.
