This is the usual place holder for pics from Wilmington this weekend.

I'll be driving up to Wilmington tomorrow, taking pics Friday, Saturday and Sunday and will post the links in this thread.

Also, anyone who has pics, please feel free to post here!

This looks to be shaping up like a REALLY GREAT meet.
Was talking to ronnieroadster this afternoon and he was telling me that several "Bonneville only" cars will be here this weekend!
I've already seen several cars here at the Wilmington Inn that I've not seen before so I'll make sure I get pics of them.

With a little luck; there might possibly be a Porkpie in the house.
He emailed me yesterday from Stainless' place in Wichita.

Whether or nor he may choose to take this in is not for me to know; but he wanted to take in the USAF Museum in Dayton.

Thanks again for all the great pix.
Here's hoping we can link up again on the salt.
Now I fully understand what it might be like to be a Cub's fan.
"Maybe next year!"

I saw in the thread for his phone number that he was going to be in Dayton and kinda thought he might try to get over here.....It's only 40 miles.

Glad you enjoy the pics.....I'm not a pro photographer but at least it let's you know who is here and couple this with the audio stream.....well, maybe it gives a small fix!!!!!
TRUE on the salt.....Maybe next year!

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL weather here today for tech inspection.
Extremely good turnout for this meet and the entry count is 150+.
There are MANY bike and car folks that never been here before and they are looking forward to this venue!

Here is my Google+ link to some of today's bikes and cars:

As I always say, talked with many old friends and met quite a few new ones.....Always a good time for me.

As usual, hope you enjoy!

Overcast all day with temps in the upper 60's/low 70's most of the day with light showers late in the day.
Had a mild to moderate crosswind pretty much all day and a course hold for 15 minutes around 2:30 PM.
Mid afternoon many of the fastest bikes were speed limited. Seems like I remember 175 though CRS has kicked in!
Had a couple cars go off-roading at the end of the track and thankfully everyone is OK.
Also, had a car oil down the left side of the track and approximately 15 minutes later we were back raging on the right side.
Thank goodness for this 150' wide runway.

Here is my Google+ link to some of today's bikes and cars in staging, at the start and on the track:

Jack and John, REALLY glad you enjoyed the pics.

As I have posted before, I know what it's like to sit at home and wonder who's there and what's going on and that's why I do the pics and audio streaming!

Forgot to post this news from the drivers meeting this morning.

Next year racing here will go to three meets. The July meet has always been the least attended one (even at Maxton) so it will be dropped.
The GOOD news is that the May and September meets will go to three day meets with tech inspections beginning on Thursday and racing Fri., Sat. and Sun. The June meet will remain at the normal 2 days.
Personally, I think this is an EXCELLENT move by the ECTA folks!

That Ford tractor is KILLING ME!

Nevertheless, it's not the first V8 Flathead Ford tractor I've seen.

Somewhere, I've got a book on the post-war Ford Tractors, and it includes a Flatty powered 8N with a snow plow attachment.

But I definitely prefer the moon discs!

Gotta admit Chris, that the 8N:

and the "Luke, I'm Your Father", Darth Vader-esque Steam car:

are going to be PRETTY hard to top here or anywhere else!  :-D  :-D  :-D

Glad you like them, Bill!      As usual, more tomorrow!

I can say that entries are starting to thin out as there are quite a few cars on trailers here at the Wilmington Inn.

Big Joe T,

I see that you were just logged in and wanted to say it's still strange to not have you and Donna here!
Gary and Bobby told me that you guys were doing well and have just gotten a bigger boat.....Congrats!!!!
I've heard it said before that the two best days in a boat owners life are the day you buy it and the day you sell it!!!!! LOL  :-D

You guys come back out here sometime!    Seems like you two owe us a 200+ Streamliner and Motorcycle!

Miss Y'All,
Gregg
