This is a place holder for pics from Wilmington this weekend.

In addition to getting the live audio streaming thing going, I'll be taking pics Friday, Saturday and Sunday and will post the links in this thread.

Also, anyone who has pics, please feel free to post here!

Here is my Google+ link of some of today's bike and car tech inspection in Wilmington.

Weather was absolutely spectacular today! Around 80, no clouds, full sunshine.
Sorry, didn't get that many pics as I was busy getting the streaming audio working and turnout was on the light side.
Also, I heard there were only around 80ish vehicles entered for this event so if you're local and want to go fast, come to the Wilmington Mile!!!!!

As usual, I hope you enjoy the pics!

Oooh - I see my favorite all-time Ranchero has arrived.  Out of Canada, aren't they?

Gregg - call me early Saturday - I've got some running around to do - The new tires for the MGB are ready to pick up, but we'll get the audio dialed in before I take off.

Don't worry about waking me.

Yep, They are out of Canada.....Eh!!!  The Ranchero is Paul Calaguiro's Ford powered N/A 2.3 and his brother Pete has the Turbo LSx powered Yellow Studebaker!

The drivers meeting is around 8:30 in the AM and I'll call you shortly after that. Thanks for ALL your help on this!

Woody -

That Avanti is slick, but the Studebaker flat bed is to die for!

That had to be a site to behold rolling in to the grounds.

If this is the primered Mustang that the announcer talks about,

according to his racingjunk ad http://www.racingjunk.com/Land-Speed-Racing/182212326/79-Mustang-Ohio-Mile-Texas-Mile-.html, it has an LS1 not a 302.

Really good job, btw.

Mike, I did ask the owner (sorry, forgot his name) and he did tell me it indeed was an LS truck engine and not a 302 Ford.  I'll say something to Brian tomorrow.

Good catch!

Weather was like yesterday, spectacular!
Not a lot of commentary from me other than to say that Steve's Rampage was AWESOME!!!!!
REALLY drew crowds in the staging lanes! Record set here so look for the record to fall at Bonneville!!!!!

EDITED TO ADD:

How STUPID of me not to tell of Sean Motes and his 1970 Cadillac Coupe de Ville Battleship.
His best ever run was last September at 188.
His May meet of this year was a disaster.....Two turnouts and 1 sick and slow full pass.
Turned out it was a crank sensor issue.
D-A-M-N did he get it fixed. 1st pass today was a 194 and second was 197.....200 is oh so close!
And this from a REALLY sick BIG BLACK TURBO 500" Cadillac.....One of my FAVORITE cars!

Not many pics from me today as the turnout was extremely light and Joe called the race around noon.
Most of these are from the finish line.

As usual, hope you enjoy!

EDITED to add:

Top speeds for this meet were:
Cars - 218 from the Keselowski Team with a NASCAR style Charger.
Bikes - 232 from Ransom Holbrook on a turbo Hayabusa.
Both of these occurred this morning with a strong headwind!!
