Some progress from today. Instead of a 4x5 inch support pad we decided to just run the 1/4 along the whole side.

Added a couple more bars.

Started some foot protection.  We didn't really want the dash bar to go directly across the middle of the dash, but that is where it ended up being the strongest structurally.  I'll just make a false dash over the top of it and move the gauges towards the driver a few inches.

Very nice work. grin

I have always had a "thing" for those KG's.  This thread is only intensifying my feelings.

Feet protection in.

Getting the seat positioned.

Now the body has to come off for finish welding and to add all of the other supports and tabs etc.

That's the point that I'm at right now. Believe me, it takes a lot longer than you think it will! You're making good progress-- nice car & nice build.

BTW, is Mallory & Erson still in CC?

That's gotta be a huge benefit to building the car that you are. All I had to do with mine was cut the whole roof off! Cool car WW!  cheers

What engine are you running? Or did I miss that earlier in the thread?

So easy a caveman could do it!

It looks like a gokart with out the body.

It's 90% fully welded now.  The seat is mounted, rear bars are in, seat belt bars in.  Waiting on some seat belt tabs to show up tomorrow.
