Own 25% of a Bonneville Record Holding Vintage Bike
« on: January 08, 2014, 05:59:01 PM »
Up for sale is my 25% ownership of the Express 50 cc Vintage motorcycle. Has set 4 records at Bonneville and 1 at El Mirage Dry Lake. Can easily set more records at both venues, and running with a sidecar makes for even more records that can be set. You will be teaming up with Mike Manghelli, John Romero, and Frank Sloan.

$500 for my 25%, you will not find a cheaper way to get a record and your name in the Rule book. Send me a PM, or put your contact number on this post.

A decent set of leathers will cost you more than that.

I'd buy in, but that bike is just too big for me.

With the sidecar, you could carry a picnic basket or cooler and have a couple before the Three...................  just sayin...............
D.W. could put a wine cooler in it but decanting on the fly might take a little practice.................  ol' Bob, out.

It's tempting, I promise you, but then - like Chris implied, I'm not sure I want a vehicle whose engine is smaller than my boot.  I look funny enough when riding Nancy's 250 Ninja turbo -- imagine me on this scooter.

Still, for that price - -

Bob,

What other vehicle is out there where you can take in the Bonneville experience and actually have time to enjoy it.  :-o :-)

Jesse,

Someone has to be the first, and it could be you.

You could have a couple before the one!

When we ran this we would push the rider off at the starting line then walk to the truck, drive to the one and get out, wait for and then watch the rider pass the one and then we would get back into the truck and drive to the two and wait for it to get there. Once it passed the two he/she would turn toward us, still at full throttle, and would stay at WOT until it was almost at the truck, then the rider would finally get off it.

This bike is the reason there are now clocks between the one and the two at Bonneville.

I have mentioned this before - one year the now White Goose Bar group had the fastest AND slowest record driver/rider, the same guy.

Rick was sand bagging with the visor in the FULL open position...bike might have another .8735 mph left in it with a fully closed visor I am sure!

Of course he was sand bagging, got to leave a little room for the next part owner's record...
