"Papa Jack" Roberts drove his old Green machine (51) Dodge out to Bonneville from Angleton ,Texas, set the record in the class he ran, and then drove it back to Angleton, 3,660 miles round trip. My next door neighbor Loyd Vincent, towed his car from Angleton, the same year and ran 1 MPH slower than Papa Jack".

Papa Jack Roberts, Jim Short, and Karol Miller were life long friends.

Short just past away recently and there will be a memorial celibration a my shop in Angleton this coming Saterday 4/20/2013. I exspect to see Karol Miller there.

I have known Papa Jack's green machine all my life, and how it is built, so if you have any question that I could help you with, I'd be more than happy too. Just send me a PM
