Well next year there will be more cup cars coming. More participation might get them to give us a class like the east coast does. But its still fun going 200!!

First reality TV producers, now D-list NASCAR back-up cars.

Go to the SCTA-BNI web page.
On left side of screen go to Bonneville.
Then Speedweek.
Then 2013 pre entries.

salt27 you are a keen observer.

Marlo decided that time is slipping away and any time there is access to the salt it had better be used.

Watch for the three spired white tent in the SDRC pit area.

Target 550 will be there and running. These will be shake down runs but knowing Les Davenport

as I do you can expect he will stand on it sometime.

I know Freud posted this in the build diary thread, but we just got a group of photos (shot by Jason Hosking) on the Target 550 web site:
http://www.target550.com/gallery/215_woodburn_test_01/index.html

This is what I posted on other sites:

1. The liner has run twice at Woodburn.
2. According to Marlo, it's at 98 percent completion status.
3. Video will be forthcoming (as soon as I get and edit it.)
4. The proposed trip to Wilmington, OH has been scratched.
5. The liner and team WILL be at Speed Week, (Aug 10-16, 2013) as plans stand now.

I can't wait!

What's this "You can't wait" stuff?  You think that we aren't dang near as excited about seeing this car moving on the salt as you?  Probably not as excited as Marlo is, but otherwise -- yup - I think we're all looking forward to seeing and hearing and just plain watching this car move under power.  Thanks to you and Freud and everyone for the continuing story and photos.

SCTA's getting ready for the huge influx of ex-NASCAR entries.  So far they've filled up three trailers with templates for the 1968 thru 1984 models.  Later ones to come.  They're just trying to make it easy for Dan in Impound.

. . . and as far as AIRs are . . . I talked one guy into it.  I'm not sure he knew about it.  No minimum at BV, so don't have to even worry about the soft 160 at Elmer.

So far one SBC and a 331 Hemi.  No Studebakers, Y-blocks, Oldmobiles, Cadillacs, Packards, AMCs, Pontiacs, 348s, DeSotos, Dodges, Plymouths or stroked Crosleys.

I like Dan, besides he is a nice guy and I wouldn't wish that on him.  NASCAR has gone to a grid template to keep the teams honest from cheating.  Stan, you will need more than three trailers for all the NASCAR templates.   . This grid template is from a team that one of my friends works on.

OK, I have never tried to attach anything on the message board so I hope this works. I created an excel spreadsheet for the pre-entry list. Which by the way took way longer than I expected. 2 tabs at the bottom one for cars and one for bikes. I sorted by body style then engine class but you can sort how you like.
Records or parts, I didn't come all this way not to break something.
