Love the bike -- what's the minimum for the hat?

Faster than I think I can go!? 230mph but I am going to give it my best. I have enough gear just not sure about everything else.
Redline is a Goal. Not a limit.

Upgraded the pre-entry list. Now has records attached. I can't guarantee the accuracy, especially for bikes. How do you bike guys even know what class your running in  :?. Also no 2 club minimums were taken into account.
Records or parts, I didn't come all this way not to break something.

Dallas,

I do really appreciate all the time it takes to do this.

It makes it so much easier to see who is going to run and how fast they have to go.

Dallas,
Thanks for converting the PDFs.  That was a beating last year.   The way that they create the PDFs does not play nice with Excel.
I'm kind of a numbers nerd. Here is something I have been working on for awhile.
I attached the spreadsheet I have been using for the past few years.

347 cars running in 67 classes (344 pre-entry cars running in 67 classes in 2012)
12 open records (7 open records in 2012)

35 streamliners (non 2 wheel) (28 in 2012)
32 lakesters (43 in 2012)
107 roadsters (111 in 2012)

169 bike entries running in 132 classes (169 pre-entry bike running 135 classes in 2012)
18 open records (21 open records in 2012)

I don't understand all of the bike stuff to look at any other stats.

Here is a link to the same spreadsheet from last year:
http://www.landracing.com/forum/index.php/topic,11449.msg195726.html#msg195726

I also have a spreadsheet with pre-entries and run logs from last year.  It is too big to attach.  Let me know and I can send it to you.

How about figuring how many entries are running single in their class. How many entries are running in a class with multiple entries?

That would tell us if we need to add more classes.

Great idea Dan.

You are aiding in reducing the unemployment in our economy.

My suggestion is a Time Only Meet but that would eliminate your pension.

Oh well we can probable carry on without one caviar eating official.

You could keep the Bar open and just take bribes and donations.

It would allow time for you to go to the Kilo Klub. (Members wifes attend free.)

OK here you go Dan. Actually Doug's numbers refer to categories not classes. This is cars only data:
347 Entries
248 Classes within 67 Categories
50 classes have multiple entries (roughly 20%)
198 classes have single entries (roughly 80%)

See the pivot table tab on the excel spreadsheet for details.

Public Service Announcement: The records for excel spreadsheet I posted were entered onto aforementioned spreadsheet at 2:00 in the morning when I couldn't sleep by looking at the records in the record book and manually typing the records into the spreadsheet. My brain also struggles (especially at 2:00 am) with the random alphabet soup of classes for vehicles of the 2 wheeled variety. P, P-P, M-P, MPS-PG, PMS, STD, WTF.....etc. That being said please understand that there could potentially be errors on the record column. The Rulebook and the SCTA site are the only place where you can find the true and accurate record. End of PSA, That is all.

A bike guy responds to Dallas' "...random alphabet soup of classes (for bikes)..." by saying that sure, cars are so much more understandable in class designation.

After all - who could be confused by something running in C/CGALT or XXO/BF or I/VBFPRO?

At least bike classes tell, in plain numbers and not secret code letters, the engine size.

Over to you, Dallas.
