Tell the Sheriff to PM me his mailing address. I will get some LSR swag to him.  I will also mark my calendar to wear my Speedweekend T-shirt he gave me in honor of the 2013 activity.  Cheers.

If you folks would like live audio coverage of the Swedish Speedweekend on Ice -- all you've got to do is figure out a way to get Nancy and me to Sweden.  Ellwood has offered (once again) to host us and make sure we've got a vehicle and all of that.  It's just the getting to Stockholm that''s a bit of a $$ challenge.

Sure would be fun, and then you could hear racing announcers speaking Swedish.  Skol!

Great - now I have to hunt down an analog FM tuner.   rolleyes

The digital I put aside falls in the cracks between frequencies in Europe.

New for this year shall be two long tracks:-
the usual 3.2 km track for the Flying K
and parallell a new 3.8 km track for outright speed records

plus for speedway motorcycle with ice studs - an oval track

and on the outskirts of the ice -  a track for old american cars to cruise around.

Maybe even an Ice Bar

This year, we shall have cruising on the outskirts of the track. Definetely on the bucket list for true Rednecks.

This video above will whet your appetites.

Whats gonna happen 2013 15th and 16th February in Orsa Sweden

The Thursday evening is check in time and scrutineering

Friday is a race day, with the Flying Kilometer on one track (total 3.2 km), for anything that has an engine or motor.
also a outright world speed attempt on a longer ( 4km )track.
We also have cruising around the outskirts in old Yankee cars
Ice oval racing on Speedway bikes
Cart racing too on a track
Time attack on a windy rally style track for cars and bikes and racing carts
After Speed bar and band

Saturday is a repeat of Friday

Lodgings are hard to get hold of, but not impossible.

I don't know what that is -- but I don't think I'd try shipping it anywhere.

Hehe Stan, so true.

Actually it is a toffee rocket - a steel tube with a lining of toffee , like what one eats. As soon as its on fire then i can open the throttle , and squirt liquid laughing gas down the tube - this gives a massive amount of oxygen, and a massive burn rate of the sugar in the toffee. All this results in a safe , manageable hybrid rocket. shutting off the NOS shuts down all thrust.

This is a very simple way of going  very fast, like 600 mph, but i darent go that fast on the ice, so will be happy if i reach 120 mph. The sled it rests in is very homemade.
