Ray, thanks so much for the real updates from the salt - I've met you before and trust your assessment!  And I love your pics, always.  My plane to SLC leaves in the morning...

If they took it out of the box already, the new wing car #97, a '69 Charger Daytona running a A/BG ALT would be nice to see.   I have been working on the car 3 years but haven't seen it with the body on, and painted.  lol.

Hope to bump into you again this year,
-Scott

A few more.  First, a Corvette with a 4-cam motor.  LT5?

An unidentified Berkeley (I think...Bonner's?) in tech and

It looks like Model T Steve is drivin an alternative to the "Stupid Car" Model T touring car.  Again, I think that's what's in the photo.

Ray and company, Thanks for the updates.

Wheels up in 12 1/2 hours.  I should get there just in time to check in, check out the Salt and head over to the H.A.M.B.

The last we saw of Ray he was heading to the tent, I think, to try to fix his camera.  His guess was heat stroke or something, so - just in case it quit for the day - Nancy and I took a photo of Marlo's tent/compound so you know what to look for when you're going to see the Target 550 car.  We took a couple of other shots, too, just so you could see "Toilet City" -- the SSS pit.

Limit two per post, so I'll put up another post.  Q E D!

I woke up at the equivalent of 3AM Mountain today and flew into SLC.  Here is a link to my pics I have had time to upload onto my own site.

Got here midday.  Got some clean shots with clean backgrounds in.  Thank you to everyone already for your friendliness and cooperation on these shots, and a shout out to Jeff Brock for spending time with me late today.  I'm the guy carrying tons on camera gear.  Name is Mike and I am a hotrodder and motorsports photog on the side.  I am shooting for motorsport.com and will likely submit to Grassroots Motorsports Magazine as well (they may or may not pick up, motorsport.com will).  I have more, just need to get some Zzzzzzs.

Heaven on Earth for Gearheads Day One Pics.

Ray your pictures are easing the pain of my not being able to attend this year. Thanks for the therapy.
