Only time and money prevent completion!

Go to Sumners site and he has links to some good sites that show how to make canopys.

You will want to carry a spare and change it every couple of years anyway.
We made a sheet metal pattern complete with bolt holes and that makes it simple. wink
Sample pictures are available now with the 2006 SCTA rulebook on the cover and pages 43,205,208,211,221,223,239, and 251.

I think it would be helpful to be more specific. Do you mean the lexan windshield, the molding of the aluminum around it, the latch mechanism . . .

Do a Google search on "Lexan forming".
Look through the build pictures on Sumners site. http://purplesagetradingpost.com/sumner/bvillecar/bvillelinks.htm

Forming Lexan isn't rocket science, but there are tons of ways to screw it up. The mold has to be very smooth, any dust will leave a mark, humidity will cause bubbles . . .

You might try this website-it's a  bicycle site

   wisil.recumbents.com

On the subject of Electric LSR projects you might try to contact Don Arivett he built the Dempsey and Eyeball machines-along with aero designer and brother Gerald. He may still be at 909 648 8463.  He may save you some grief  and is noted for no-nonsense advice.

It may have already been mentioned but the Silent Thunder was actually competing in the HEAVY class-SCTA/BNI reversed the designations later and my experts tell me it was a TAURUS not a T-Bird
