Joe,
VERY NICE update.
Thanks a million, answers most of my question.  cheers

I've got my HIE reservations for July!

BTW:  google earth says startline is at elev = 1,068', 1 mi mark = 1,048'.
Nice lil 20' elevation drop in the right direction.  grin

I had a problem with the address 2870 Old CR73 Wilmington, OH in Google maps, took me someplace south.

2870 Old State Road 73, Wilmington, OH got me to the right place.

getting the fever early this year....

How will pit parking be organized? Will the pits be set up in "stalls" perpendicular or parallel   to the pit lanes ?

We have to fit 150 vehicles in less than a mile of space that's only 48 feet deep. Assume you have 3/4 of a mile 150 entrants that's less than 27 feet per stall.  I would imagine a space will need to be left clear in front of short shut down. And also around the corner in long for cars with chutes to clear the corner. So space will be fairly limited regardless of how the fab four decide to break it up.  I would say practice your trailer backing skills and think about the space you'll have. Big trailers will have cars next to trailers instead of behind. Given the overall width there will be plenty of room to maneuver you ll just be limited as to where you can leave your junk parked

It says 24' on the map that is on ECTA web site. So I would guess that it is 24'. That is plenty unless John Force shows up.

Gentlemen, this will work out just fine. Half of the competitors are motorcycle racers with short trailers. If you have a long trailer, you can angle the box in your 24 foot wide pit space so loading /unloading will work. You are racers who can overcome anything to RACE!!! Stop worrying...Donna, Tonya, Keith and I are doing all the worrying for you!!!

Happy New Year and see you in Ohio!!!

Greenjunk  "practice your trailer backing skills"  Oh my 99% of my practice is going straight...LOL

I have done the math,,, there is no possible angle a 60 ft long rig can manuever to and  fit in a 24ft box.

I guess I will also enter my pit scooter and get a second pit ??  just kidding,,

Joe is correct,,, it will all work out,, at least we have a quality place to race this year...

Happy New Year..
