Ok so me and my partner have a couple of one off turbo charged atvs we are capable of pushing 30 psi on them the big thing is we are out of our element in the salt so we are very Green and are looking for advise for or prep to do this we are going to lower the bike and it will be rigid it is 10" longer in the rear and 4" longer in the front
We sand drag mainly and the turbos have very long legs so we want to see what they will do at the Mecca of speed

What class would a atv fall into its a single cylinder motor

Thanks for the help

There is no class at Speedweek to run an ATV so I would guess the WoS would be your best bet to get to race.... probably start you in the 130 club like they did with the land luge, then let you work at higher speeds in the 150 club if you promise not to kill yourself  grin
Start by contacting the USFRA with a request to run your atv

DW

Don't think so, too many wheels

RE, the USFRA holds a meet in Sept called World of Speed, they race barstools, carts, land luges, cars, bikes, and almost anything else you can make go fast.  Look at the links from this site to the USFRA.  Send them an email explaining what you have and what you want to do.
Like the song says... see you in September...  cheers

Just to clarify a little, the organizations and events are all shown on the left side of the home page for this site. Each one contains a link to the relevant organization or event.

Enjoy the holidays. cheers cheers

Tony,
It's been a while but when I looked into quads at Bonneville none of the organizations had a class for them.
I believe the so called speed record for a quad was set at a airport in Redman Oregon.
I remember reading about it in a magazine but have no idea how official it was.
If you do find a venue at Bonneville that allows them, let us know.
