It's official: The 2012 event dates for the Mojave Mile are May 5-6, and Sept. 29-30.
We are also announcing a new event, the Mojave Magnum, on June 2-3. This is a 1.5 mile event with unique rules, and will be detailed on a separate thread in the Mojave Mile forums.
We have tried our best to "de-conflict" our run dates with the Bonneville and El Mirage events, and have purposely set the Fall date to be one week prior to the Bonneville World Finals, in order to try to accomodate those coming a long way who might wish to attend both events. We hope these dates don't make it harder to come out and enjoy our incredible venue.
In another exciting development for us, we have been given the go-ahead to develop a large spectator area right across from the finish line and adjacent to the Paddock, to permit up to 1000 spectators to come out. We hope you will help us spread the word that we are now much more "spectator friendly" than in the past, which was due to the Airport's concerns about crowd control. They are granting us this space because we have developed a high level of trust with them, and we hope to be able to fill that area with lots of racing enthusiasts to cheer you guys on! More details on this will be forthcoming.
See you all next year!
Mike B.

EXCELLENT!!!!!!! I've done 3 Mojave events, love the facility and even more, the 1st class crew that put on the show. For some reason, my heap pulls better at 2700' Mojave than the other asphalt events. 1.5mi?? I'm IN! Karl

Yes, the Mojave Magnum 1.5 mile event will allow push starts. Event registration will begin after the new year, as we are transitioning to an online paperless registration system that will take some time to set up.
