What rear end are you planning on using, Rich?

Rich, Start a build diary.  Just my two cents, but have you thought about using a DeDion suspension.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ym1rnNYqUw   I think those little cars would be ideal for something like that. Tony

I looked up Austin/Bantam here on the computer and they made all sorts of cars that I never heard of or saw. Mine is only the second pickup that I have seen right in front of me and I owned the other one also.  I am going to use an 8 inch, with coil overs and a live axle. While I agree a DeDion would be way cool, I am trying to keep it simple and reasonably inexpensive. Still, it would be way cool.

This is what it will need to look like to get a V6 and a driver in it.

Somewhere in my archives I have pictures of every model made each year. The American Austin Club is a good resource since we now have the internet. Still have my original hood and grille shell too. At one time I had to prove alot of things about those cars.....JD

PS: As I remember it Jim wasn't very fond of my American Austin much...Funny how things change over the years..............

I wonder how many Sedan Deliveries they made?

Stan is circling, no bites yet , just a fin above the water. Nothing short of the Dead Sea scrolls from the Austin Factory will be satisfactory.

 wink

is that John Lynch there in the red cap?

On 9-27-08 we lost a great friend and fellow racer, he was the BEST, he helped anyone with anything at anytime.  His name is Dave Owen and he will be missed by all that knew him and I am glad to have met him.

Seeing him at Bonneville during 2008 Speedweek was the tops, Dave was in awe of the salt and as usual was there helping out anyone who asked..simply put we lost a great man who will be missed by all.
