Bill Warner just ran a 274+, tire smoke off the line. My source, Brenda Sue, said the track is pretty slick. Karl G.(Entropy) ran a 219+, best ever in a mile.

Launching is a big issue for anyone with hp.

Ford GT's are 10mph down compared with previous events (215 vs 225), i figure i'm losing 3-4mph launching like a wussy.

Don't know if it is affecting Bill Warner, he hasn't made a balls out pass yet.
Shoemaker also has more in it.

Great weather, great track, great people.  cheers

Karl- Drive it like you stole it ...

hey Joe, my AMA roadracer pal brought my Bonneville roller up to Mojave yesterday after frame/arm alignment checking/adjustment yesterday and then set my compression/damping for better traction.

He said it was WAY wrong.

I'll get after it today, leave the line like my TFAzz is on fire.
Maybe get that 222.2 I am looking for.

Weather prediction for this morning is very good.

See you at Maxton if this long suffering motor stays healthy

Does the Mojave Mile issue licenses based on the SCTA criteria? Didn't know that.

At World of Speed, Malcom Pittwood of the Speed Record Club over in England stopped by the Landracing.com trailer looking for Slim.  I stepped out of the mobile audio unit and tugged on his coat about an international competition on miles and kilos, using the classes of the SCTA.  This way, a bike in the US could be competing against the chaps in the UK, Europe or Oz.  Engine teardowns after record runs, same criteria for observed integrity of the record runs and record keeping.  An additional fee to a participant who wants to compete on the tarmac, plus acceptance of the activity with mile race promoters.  Anyone think this is worth pursuing?  I'd be glad to touch bases with Malcom, maybe see if it could be developed over the next couple of years.
