Fantastic Bill.  311 in a mile and a half, simply Awesome.  Just Awesome.  We are all so very proud of you and your accomplishment.  Please be careful my friend, we want you around for a long time to enjoy your record run at Loring.

This makes me even more determined to try to break 300 in the 1 mile.  I agree with Larry, I know it can be done in 1 mile.  If Bill can do it in 1.5 miles and he hadn't really used all the available power, then 1 mile will would be the next great event.

Go Bill cheers

Yeah, Bill evidently did not get the SCTA memo that declared all ZR tires unsafe past 200. But you can bet Continental will be capitalizing on it.

No backup Glen. Winds increased soon after and as you know a bike is a feather in the wind. Data logging shows it is reality and I am sure Bill will run again at a future meet.  Larry

Loring had its first 3 club ceremony ... what a day ... I had the pleasure of working the starting line and safety checked Bill before his run. What a crowd reaction when he did it ...

The engine stayed together and he could make another run but we developed a 3-4 knot cross wind.
